Brigitte Handley is an independent Australian singer-songwriter and guitarist known for her dark atmospherics and deep spellbinding vocals. Her live and electric shows bring together voice and fierce guitar sliced through waves of melodious synths, driving bass lines, orchestrated visually with ambient video art projections. Brigitte spends her time based between Sydney & Cologne, Germany. 

 2025 has seen Brigitte in the studio working on new material with Matahari Ranch (MHR) who previously joined forces on the darkwave electro pop EP, Köln-Visions.

 Cyber Nation, the latest BH|MHR collaboration is an ode to the “virtual electro generation” and explores the depths of today’s digital dreams as we step forward into the world of virtualism. A future rock electro glam-noir anthem, ‘Cyber Nation’ sees BH|MHR explore a blend of electronic sounds with organic elements into a danceable androidic backbeat.

 “The song has taken a journey from its humble organic beginnings from a simple guitar riff on the acoustic to meet 'The Day the Earth Stood Still' theremins and synth sounds resulting in a future rock electro glam-noir kinda track.” Says Brigitte.

 The official music video for ‘Cyber Nation’ will premiere on DJ Yami Spechie’s YouTube channel (video is embargoed) Friday 4th of April. The video was shot on location in Cologne, Germany with the concept of using existing city street scapes, landmarks and architecture of the past mixed with a futuristic style and vision to signify the collision of two worlds where organic meets electronic.

Brigitte recently lent her vocals to a project with guitarist, songwriter, producer, Boz Boorer, (Polecats, Morrissey, Siouxsie, Adam Ant, Edwyn Collins) with a version of ‘I can have both’ alongside a host of artists reimagining songs Boz has written with Morrissey. Boz Boorer : ‘Morrissey Reimagined’ is out now on CD and Bandcamp with vinyl soon to follow.
